The Wounded Dove
Little dove you flew so high You were so free as I saw you fly by
Little dove of grace and glory Little dove this is your story
As you flew to God’s great mountains You drank from His living fountains
Then one day your heart was broken When you felt the pangs of evil words spoken
Then one day you set down in the desert and
flew no more Your heart was wounded and you found it hard to fly anymore
Then the savior came to tell you once again
to take your wings to the sky With your heart encouraged you lifted
from the desert to the sky
Once again you were flying high O’ little dove once again I saw you fly by
You looked so happy as your heart took wings You still tried to fly as high as you could To be free is what He promised you in His word Then I saw it the arrow that struck your heart You fell so hard it broke my heart
You fell so hard on the cold snow below Could this little dove ever again be whole
Then I saw Him the Ancient of Days in His Kingly role His hair and beard was as white as the snow
His eyes were flashing like the fire He was awesome in His Kingly attire
He walked over to the wounded dove upon the snow He picked her up and upon the dove his life giving, breath did blow
She was so wounded such a pitiful sight He comforted His dove by day and by night
He tenderly held her close to His heart and covered her with His great love never to depart
Time went by as it always does and He kept healing her with His love from above
Then one day she began to flutter in the hand of the healer One day He spoke, My little dove it is time for you to leave here
As she fluttered to become free, He said you can fly up again to the sky The kindly comforter said fly away my dove take to the sky The little dove spoke to her heavenly comforter My Lord I have forgotten how to fly
My heart is fearful I might not make it again If you trust in me my dove you will never fail, you will always win
For I have stopped the mouth of the liar I have defeated the fowlers brier
Never again can you be shot down fly little dove to the mountains of your God!

(The Vision of The Fallen Dove)
This Vision came to me in The Calvary Assembly of God Church where I sang in the choir I saw a vision of a wounded dove, pierced through lying bleeding on the snow. It was an awesome sight, as far as I could see, the ground was covered with snow. The Great Creator walked over and, picked up the little dove from the snow. He placed the dove in one hand, and covered her with the other. Almighty God spoke tenderly to the little dove. He held her close to His beating heart. Then the little dove began to flutter in the hand of the Eternal Father. Then God spoke to the little dove, “it is time for you to fly again”. The little dove was fearful she, did not want to leave the secret comforting, place in God. “He said my name Ruth”! Ruth He said; " you can fly again far above the storm". Just as the great eagle fly's so can you. You can fly to the mountains of God, and your soul shall find rest. You shall encourage and teach others, to fly again with their God. How I love Him there are no English words, to express my love for my God! O’ How much He has done for you and me! Yes God’s precious child you can fly again and again! Never let others defeat Gods great purposes for you. It is not over until its over and all the times, and season are in the Hands of our Almighty creator. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all
